HTML Coding: Relic From The Past

Most web developers, present company included, no longer hand-code HTML pages. With all of the numerous “systems” out there, we have no reason to reinvent the wheel each time and build a site completely from the ground up. Not only that, these existing systems have already taken into account search engine optimization, so us developers only need to tweak things a bit to bring them up to our standards. For site owners, these systems allow them full control over their content; the days of a web developer essentially holding a site hostage are a thing of the past. Today’s web is very “here and now.” These systems include anything from CMS (content management systems) to blogs, media galleries or anything else that provide us with a means to quickly provide content to the web.
